I know I'm a little late on this being that the video came out in October of 2009 but just recently i became interested in Music Videos and the Creativity involved in them. A video that really surprised me happened to be "Day N Nite" by Kid Cudi. It surprised me for two reasons, one being more obvious, the first reason is that there had already been a music video for this song, but this one was something i hadn't seen before. The second reason would have to be the animations involved in the video. I have to say, i love them to death and couldnt help but nod my head as i was listening. Take a look:

Academy of Art University
Being in 11th grade, I'm starting to take an interest in colleges. Specifically art colleges. Now, something that struck me yesterday happened to be a commercial I saw for the Academy of Art University. When i saw this commercial I was surprised, see, two years ago i took a good look at this university, and in all of their pamphlets they focused on non stop art, "Art this, Art that" but in this commercial yesterday they focused mainly on "New Media". I couldn't find the ad today, but here's some of the stuff coming out of the University, just to give you a taste on what it might be like. Looks like they are widening their playing field though........

Something I'd be interested in doing......
Machinima, What is it? Machinima is when you take a video game, and dub voices over the screen shots you take. Its really interesting, and over the past few years the films people come up with are becoming more and more intricate. One of the big names in Machinima would have to be RoosterTeeth, a group responsible for "Red vs. Blue" a very funny series based on the Video Gaming Cult Classic "HALO". Again, i really would love to see if i can do this in the future. Check it out:

Tempt One
The legendary Graffiti writer, Tempt One, suffers from Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a disease that causes paralysis. Currently, he cannot move from the neck down, in fact his movement is highly limited to every part of his body except for his eyes. In an Alhambra Hospital, a very affordable program known as EyeWriter, allows him to write graffiti on the computer using only his eyes. It is an amazing example of how technology can bring happiness into all of our lives. Just check it out:

introducing KAWS
In the world of Graphic design. One person that is at the head of Vinyl toys, as well as clothing design and album covers happens to be graffiti writer-turned designer KAWS. Slowly but surely his popularity has been gaining since 2000 and he came out on top of the scene in the last three years.

Graffiti of the digital realm
As some of you may know i would one day love to do graphic design as a profession. My main form of artwork revolves around the graffiti aspect, and is greatly influenced by the artform. One of the ways that i can express my artwork through the computer is through Photoshop. Slowly but surely i am building my skills in the program, and hopefully one day i can be as good as certain people i have seen use the program. Such as this guy:

Wacom Intuos 4. top of my wishlist for whenever!
Okay, so i know i wasn't really active on the blogs for the last holiday season, and in this new year there are a couple of things that i still want to acquire into my collection of graphic design equipment. The top of my wishlist? Oh yes, I still want a Wacom tablet! I don't need a big fancy one, but it would be nice to have one from the Intuos4 series. Last year, Wacom took a step back and changed how they made tablets. With the Intuos4 series, they increased the amount of pressure levels they had in the strokes, increased compatibility qualities, and increased ease of use to make a practical tool of the trade. I've been meaning to blog about this product for a while so please excuse the lateness on my part. How dare i review a product that is more than a month old?
Gosh!
Here's a flick of the schemes for the smallest of the four sizes for the tablets

Ubi soft, Still at it

Ubisoft has continued working on thier latest music game. Yes, even as the money flow seems to decline for the gaming industry, let alone the economy as a whole, Ubisoft seems to keeep going. who knows? maybe this time i'll actually go out and buy a music game for once? maybe i'll actually be impressed with the visual graphics? Maybe these graphics will not come in the form of cartoonish stereotypical characters? But i wont go on ranting.
My opinion? If you're going to spend this much money, make sure its good, please.
